Third Paw Privacy Policy

This English text is provided for convenience only; the Japanese version is authoritative and governs in case of any discrepancy. "Third Paw" (the "App") is provided as a desktop application and as a free, lightweight Chrome extension. This policy describes how the App handles information.

1. Information We Collect

The App does not collect any information that could personally identify you, such as your name, email address, or account details. The App has no account registration feature.

2. Types and Purpose of Stored Data

To restore your previous session the next time you open the App, the following data is stored locally on your device only:

• The state of your room's tidiness (the placement and type of clutter items)
• Your cat's affection level and state
• BGM playback settings (volume, selected track, whether music is playing)
• Your display language setting
• Internal timestamps used to manage the data above

3. External Transmission and Third-Party Sharing

The App never transmits or shares any of the above data, or any other information, with our servers or any third party. No analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising SDKs are included, and the App itself has no internet-connected functionality (except that clicking a link in its menu opens the relevant page in your default browser).

4. Where Data Is Stored and How to Delete It

Data is stored as a local file inside the application data directory managed by your OS (for example, under ~/Library/Application Support/ on macOS). You can delete this data from your device by uninstalling the App and removing the data file from that folder. Because data is never sent to our servers, we hold no copy of your data on our side.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The App does not use cookies, device-identifier tracking, or any other technology to track you across services.

6. Children's Information

The App does not collect information targeted at any specific user group, including minors.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this policy without prior notice when necessary. Material changes will be announced within the App or on this page.
